then just buy the highlights from a box from a store.

spend the night at her house.

blow dry it and straighten it and show your mom how good it looks.

Well, I think that you should try temporary highlights first and just use a hair straightener to straighten it. That way, nothing is permanent and you can show her how it looks on you. If you guys decide you don't like it, just wash it out and if you both agree on it, then get it permanently done. Besides, she might make you dye over it if she hates it. That would stink, because you would have wasted a lot of money on highlights, ya know? Good luck!
