This was airing on USA network around the same time as Highlander and Renegade. I think the actor's real life name may be Rob ____? The woman wore feminine detective suits, and the guy had nearly flat topped, close cropped dark hair.

"Silk Stalkings" (1992-98;originally CBS late night then USA);the actor whose name you're trying to remember is Rob Estes (his costar was Mitzi Kapture)...and the show was set in Miami Beach,not LA.
