Do I have curly hair?

When I pull my thick hair up into a high, loose bun some hair doesn't get in, and the hair that hangs down becomes very tight ringlets (on its own).

Does that mean my whole head could look like that (naturally)? I'm asking because my hair is so thick and heavy that all it normally does is get very wavey and a little curly at the bottom.

Any hair cuts that might help my hair show its natural curl?

I think because it is so heavy that it can't curly that way it would if it was thinner and lighter. Does that make any sense?

Well, off to hockey, hopefully I'll have some answers when I get home! (Yeah, I know, random, but the truth!)

Do I have curly hair?

my hair used to be really long. it would curl towards the ends but at the top it would stubbornly remain straight. recently i got it cut to just about two inches below my ears and now i have natural curls that shirley temple would envy. long, thick hair pulls out the curls that would have been. freeing up some of the weight allows the curls to be free and bouncy. i was in the same boat as you. it takes a lot of guts to cut all your hair off though but i donated mine to locks of love so it was worth it. good luck!!

After you wash it, let it air dry. (air dry=no hairdryer). If it dries curly, then you have curly hair.

Layers will probably show them off. My hair has always been slightly wavy but when I had it layered it went very curly!
