For Sims 2, how come the hair I downloaded won't show up in the game?? =/?

First of all, I downloaded the CEP (color enable package), hair meshes at xmsims.com and some hair colors for the mesh, and I unzipped the files and moved them to the downloads folder in the EA games/Sims 2 folder. Also, my custom content enabler is ON! I also downloaded some clothes for Sims 2 and they showed up in the game..but how come the hair doesn't? PLZ HELP I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM FOR 3 DAYS

Click on the files you downloaded and click download. If that didn't work then the hair just doesn't work probably.
