I plan to dye my hair an almost brown color and I was wondering would non-natural colors would best show up in something like that? I wanted to get purple or sea green or something along those lines, but would my hair be too dark for it?

You can bleach the parts you want to color- then you can get any color. Otherwise I really don't know. If you don't want to bleach it you should talk your hair stylist because she (or he) should know what colors will show up the best!
