Why doesn't my hair dye color show when i take pictures? HELP!?

i've dyed my hair a million times already (mostly different browns)

today i spent almost $100 getting highlights and dying my hair and it still looks black (my original hair) when i take pictures! and yes, its with flash and i'm in the light. everytime i dye it it never shows up! i wasted alot of money already :(

Well if it's only for pictures I wouldn't worry about it. And since you have very dark hair to begin with, it's a bit of a long process to lighten it with highlights. I would not suggest bleaching it as this would ruin your hair more than highlights would. Next time you go to the hair salon, ask them to put in more golden highlights and to chunk them a little bit so it'll be more noticeable.

you say you have lightened your hair... did you go to a salon? If you are buying stuff at a grocery store it's not going to work. 100 dollars I'm guessing you went to a salon. Obviously they did not put enough highlights in it would have showed through unless they used a toner that was too dark. Color will not lighten color so if you have color in your hair useing a lighter color will do nothing. If you want lighter hair you may have to lighten your whole head which can be incredibly damaging esp where you have highlighted and colored already. Go back to the salon! I work in one and if you were not happy with something I did I would want you to come back to have it fixed there is nothing worse then spending that much money and not being completely happy with what was done!
