Go with the Marriott Marquis. You can get it on Priceline for about $99 a night (at least you could). It is a very nice Hotel with amazing views of the city.

The only drawback, and this could be with all downtown hotels, is they charge $20 for parking per night during your stay at the hotel. This may or may not be an issue for you, but I'd give the Marriott Marquis on NW Peachtree high marks!

Oh yeah, have fun at the hair show.

This is my first hair show and trip to Atlanta but the only place that i found that had open reservations was the Ritz.

I prefer the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. It's expensive to some people, but I think it's one of the nicest hotels. Actually, any hotel in downtown Atlanta is going to cost a lot.
