Realize, what you are seeing on television is edited down from hundreds of hours of footage, and a lot of re-takes done simply for the camera.

Three possible reasons (or a combination of the three): They actually shave somehow, it's not noticable enough with their cameras, or a month is not that long to notice the change. It's a one month stay on the island, and I don't think it's that long for some women to grow leg or armpit hair.

They're only there for 39 days so there wouldn't be that much hair growth. It wasn't as noticeable as the guys where. Besides which, you didn't see them showing closeups of armpits and legs!!
